Welcome to the first meeting of the Darley Anderson Author’s Book Club! Every month we’ll be asking our authors to give us their top recommendations, why they love them, and why we should too! Whatever your tastes, the Club will aim to bring readers and authors together and to push our ‘members’ out of their comfort zone with new picks and genres every month.

This month’s Guest Author is the amazing Sandie Jones, no stranger to book clubs having been featured as a Reese Witherspoon x Hello Sunshine Book Club Pick in 2018 with her debut novel, THE OTHER WOMAN. Her books have been sold into a very impressive fourteen languages, including French, Norwegian and Taiwanese. Alongside her writing, she works as a freelance journalist for national newspapers and magazines such as the Sunday Times, Woman’s Weekly and the Daily Mail. Her third title, THE HALF SISTER publishes in the UK and US in April 2020.

Why Sandie Loves It

 ‘A book I read late last year that I really enjoyed was A WINDOW BREAKS by C.M. Ewan.

Domestic thrillers are my preferred genre as I like second guessing everything and wondering how it’s all going to play out, however A WINDOW BREAKS is a thriller with a difference as it quite literally made me hold my breath.

You can’t help but get caught up in the action as Tom, Rachel and Holly face the unthinkable. It made my heart race, my palms clammy and my blood run cold – it really is that chilling – and as much as I didn’t want it to end, I was actually rather relieved when it was all over!’
